Top 5 Olympic Events To Watch Wednesday (8/8)

Whenever I sit down to watch the Olympics, I always end up seeing a sport that I didn't know was a real sport (hello: Hammer Throw, Field Hockey, Skeet Shooting). Fortunately, our friends at FoxSports.com have an easy breakdown of WHAT to watch tomorrow and WHEN you'll see it.

 


 

Here's the Top 5 Events to Watch on Wednesday's Olympics: [FoxSports]

 

1.) Men's Volleyball Quarter Final: WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The United States will play against Italy in the men's indoor volleyball quarterfinal at 11 a.m. ET. Russia and Brazil will also vie for a spot in Friday's semifinal matches.

 

2.) Men's Basketball - Team USA vs. Australia: WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and the rest of Team USA opens single-elimination play with a Wednesday quarterfinal date against Australia (3-2) at 5:15 p.m. ET.

 

3.) Women's Beach Volleyball Gold Medal Match: WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Kerri Walsh (squatting) and Misty May-Treanor of Team USA will face off against fellow Americans Jennifer Kessy and April Ross in the women's beach volleyball gold medal match at 4PM ET.

 

4.) Men's Waterpolo Quarter Final: WHAT TO WATCH FOR: After several disappointing matches, the US men's water polo team will play against Croatia in the quarterfinals. Also competing for a semifinal spot — Hungary and Montenegro, who have proven to be unrelenting forces in the pool this Olympics.

 

5.) Women's 200m Final: WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The signature event of American sprinter Allyson Felix, the women's 200m final is Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
