Somehow I completely missed this story, but here we go...
Nicki Minaj has a verse on Lil Wayne's track "Mercy" from his new mixtape "Dedication 4" that made her the center of a political firestorm last week. She raps: "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b***ches is f**kin' up the economy."
During an interview with a Florida radio station, President Barack Obama addressed Minaj's assumed Mitt Romney endorsement.
From MSN.com...
Prior to speaking directly on Nicki's verse, President Obama mentioned that he doesn't "think" that his daughters, Sasha and Malia, listen to the Young Money rapstress "that much." "I don't think they really listen to Nicki Minaj that much," he said. "But let's face it, they are now hipper than me. There's a certain point where your kids get old enough where they're hipper than you are."
Later Monday, on Twitter, Nicki tweeted: Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do... *sends love & support* @BarackObama."
She also tweeted: "Awesome! Now I can tell my grandchildren that the 1st black President of the United States took the time to address a Nicki Minaj question."
Yeeaaahh... the Pres is probably too busy running the free world to check out Wayne's new mixtape, but that's just what I think. Also, in case anyone else was curious what Nicki is up to, she later raps “Out in Miami I be chillin’ with a zombie.”
"Staarrshhips, were meant to DDDIIIIIEEEE."
