Let's just say that being a resident of Seattle and living downtown was an interesting experience last night. After getting off the air at midnight, I drove back to my apartment to witness what can only be described as an 'accident-waiting-to-happen.' So much chanting, so many threats being shouted, so many un-happy Packers fans and elated Seahawks fans. There were multiple fights outside after the game and even more inside the bar I went to. To put it simply: Packers fans are not happy.
Everyone has had their opinions, and everyone seems to be right. But the NFL says the Win will stand, and that's that. Move on, cheeseheads.
My friend Chris S wrote this on his facebook page today and it summed up my feelings perfectly:
Can someone please talk about us sacking Rodgers 8 times in the first half? Or how about our 5'10" rookie 3rd round quarterback showing enough poise to bring us back and giving us a shot to win it at the end? How about Marshawn Lynch quietly being a top 5 running back? Or even the best home field advantage in football? No? Not a chance? Can I at least get a few more Jets highlights? #thanksESPN
Touche. Let's go Hawks!!
