Kristin Wiig Joins Anchorman: 2

THIS IS THE BEST NEWS EVAAARRR!

Ok, not really - but I'm excited because I have a huge crush on Kristen Wiig. I didn't think "Bridesmaids" was very funny the first time I watched it, but now I can't even think of Kristen in that movie without nearly crying in laughter. Ironically, I felt the exact same way about Will Ferrel and the first "Anchorman," but it ended with the exact same result after the 3rd and 4th time watching it.

Here's the confirmation from Vulture.com:

Two months ago, we told you that Kristen Wiig was in talks to join the cast of Anchorman 2. Well, it appears those talks have amounted to "Hey, Kristen Wiig, you're now in this movie." Christina Applegate tweeted, "So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2," and so it was written.

It was previously speculated that Wiig would play the love interest of Steve Carell's character Brick Tamland, but this has not been confirmed. We hope this is the case, so in the middle of a love scene, Brick can turn on a light and say, "Let's make this a three-way," while winking at the love of his life, lamp.

Of course - Will Ferrel announced the movie months ago by bursting onto the set of "Conan."
