The superubermegaconglomeratecoffeemakercorporation known as "Starbucks" is one of Seattle's largest employers and is known world-wide for their coffee, their little green mermaid logo (which doesn't even show ta-ta's anymore) & those instagram-worthy Christmas cups. But to their credit, they're marketing geniuses, massively charitable, and take really good care of their employees. Overall - Starbucks is just a really great corporation, but they're also still a corporation, and big businesses can sometimes do things that rub people the wrong way. And that's exactly what just happened.
Exit 6 — a small brewpub some 40 miles outside of St. Louis — recently released a new beer and decided the name “Frappicino” was a good fit. Little did the owner (Jeff Britton) realize, the attorneys from Starbucks would come knocking with a cease & desist order. Being a fellow businessman, Britton understood the issue at hand and responded accordingly, even sending Starbucks a check in an effort to fully apologize for the error!
What happened next is all below, and it's hilarious. [Uproxx]
And Jeff's response:
Annnnnd the check for $6:
Go Jeff, go!
