I'm not sure how I feel about the news of AMC prepping for a "Walking Dead" spinoff in 2015, but as long as they promise to not kill the franchise (puns!), I'll be ok with it. Zombies were never my thing anyway until I started watchin The Walking Dead back a few years ago, but I guess I'll give this new spinoff show a chance before I judge it. Details below! [TheBlemish]
AMC’s president and general manager, Charlie Collier, says that the companion series will have “an entirely new story and cast of characters”. “It’s a big world and we can’t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse,” he said.
Deadline reports that the Walking Dead spin-off will be executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert. Kirkman is the man behind the original Walking Dead comics. “After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe.
Just as long as Rick's awful wife isn't in this new show, I'll be happy. New episodes of The Walking Dead return to AMC this October.
