Carly Rae Jepsen along with Owl City and others that helped write the hit "Good Time" are being sued by Ally Burnett, an Alabama based singer, for copyright infringement. She is claiming the song steals a "unique vocal motif" from her song "Ah, It's A Love Song".
Strangely enough, Burnett's lawsuit doesn't say that she is simply doing this as a publicity stunt to get her name out there. Seems like a bad strategy long term, but I'm currently writing about her so it must be working. Touche!
Why don't you be the judge? Does she have a case?
