7-year old Charlotte Neve from Lancashire, England had suffered a brain hemorrhage and lapsed into a coma earlier this year. Her mother Leila, following two surgeries, was told Charlotte would pass and it was time to say goodbye. However, fate apparently had other plans. Adele's song Rolling In The Deep, a song Leila and Charlotte enjoyed singing together, came on the radio and Leila began to sing along to her daughter. Charlotte smiled. In the next two days she was speaking and getting out of bed.
Now, over two months along, Charlotte is back to walking, talking, has regained partial sight and even has gone back to school and dance classes.
Though many doctors have professed the positive effects music can have on comatose patients, there is often little evidence to support the claim.
So what do you think? Coincidence, Miracle, or did the emotional connection with her mother and this song wake Charlotte?
