Bright colors and exotic places are bringing the Seattle Art Museum to life! It’s the Gauguin & Polynesia Community Day and art is coming to life. There will be Tahitian dancing and drumming, live musical performances, French lessons and all sorts of ways to get your hands dirty with art! Make paper leis, tiki masks, mixed media postcards, landscape pastels and more! Need to move more? Learn Polynesian dances with a a lesson from Na Hanu ‘O Ku’uleialoha at 12noon.

2. Go Hockey!
Mother Nature doesn’t want spring to come and neither do the hockey players. Hey, if you can’t beat em’ join em’! The Seattle Thunderbirds take to the ice to play Portland on Saturday and then it’s a hometown rivalry as they face up against the Everett Silvertips on Sunday! There will be fights, there will be beer and there will be a lot of cheering on the TBirds! This is a great family time or an awesome date night!

Strap on 8 wheels and hit the hard wood! This is just some good ol’ fashioned fun! Has it been years since you’ve skated or maybe you’ve never given it a go? Don’t worry, there are lessons too! Learn to Skate class is open to all beginners no matter how old or young. An evening skating will no doubt leave you with a smile on your face.

Who’s to say drag shows should be reserved for the night? Some of Seattle’s most talented performers will be bringing out the glitz and glam as you scarf down some bacon. Yes, it’s a classy brunch and a sassy performance! There will be stand-up comedians there as well! This is pretty much the best way to ensure your weekend starts with a bang!

It’s just as much fun as when you were a kid but a little tougher as an adult! Yup, this is for the over 18 only. Weather will not stop this coed game from happening so forget about rain being a factor. They do warn to leave your fancy glasses at home, getting hit in the face isn’t that uncommon. Also, be prepared for some skinned up knees if you don’t bring knee pads. This game is played on the tennis courts. Get ready to sweat, swear and kick some dodgeball ass!
