The Warren Miller Film Tour is more than just a movie, it’s a thrill ride and it’s guaranteed to get you amped up for this season! Plus, you get tons of cool discounts with your ticket! Buy one get one free lift ticket at Whistler/Blackcomb, Big White, Silver Star, Sun Peaks and a free lift ticket to Mt Bachelor! Go Glitter! Glitz, glam and high end designers await! It’s the Goodwill Glitter Sale! If you long for a Missoni, Carolina Herrera or  Louis Féraud this is your chance! This sale has been going on since 1983, rows upon rows of formal wear, gowns, jewelry, handbags, shoes and more at gently used prices.  If you want to be a savvy Glitter sale shopper, make sure to wear a slip or swimsuit to try on clothes easily since there are no dressing rooms.  You also need to  live by this motto, “the early bird gets the worm”, if you want to score the best digs. There are stones, brooms, ice and the possibility that you have missed your athletic calling! Try your hand at the popular Olympic game of curling and who knows, you may even pick up a new winter hobby or be invited to be on the next US team!  The Granite Curling Club of Seattle is hosting an open house and giving everyone a chance to get in on the game. These events fill up quickly so make sure you arrive 90 minutes before the end so you get some time on the ice! Your instructor will lead you through some stretches, safety guidelines and game basics. You then get to go and try your hand at some curling play! Then this is you perfect weekend event! “Will Bake for Food” is a giant amazing bake sale for the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County. In it’s second year, this food for a cause event brings out the best bakers in the city for our consuming delight! Last year they sold over 1600 items and this year is going to be even tastier! How does it work? Bring in non-parishable food items or monetary donations. You will trade those in for tickets. Then take those tickets and trade for everything from cookies to baked goods to gluten-free items to local apple cider! Eat it there or bring it home! This is a sweet delight! Get there early though! Last year the event sold out completely in only 90 minutes!
