1. Go Air Guitar! Bite your lip, throw back your head, windmill your strumming arm and get thee to the air guitar regionals! Winner will represent Seattle in the nationals in Chicago July 23. The cutthroat Seafair Pirates crew has made a deal with their Captain Kidd – and are comin' to collect the bounty they left behind last year! Avast, the Seafair Pirates will sail in from the seven seas and land on the beach around noon. Don't ye be gettin' in their way! The stage will be there ta welcome ye and they be bringin' some local bands to play around 11 am and will give ye a day full o' wild piratical merriment. Yer be singin' those sea shanties! Ready, Aim, Fire! The merchants will be puttin' out their finest wares startin' and ye can shop, eat and dance along with the pirates throughout the day! Seattle's Chinatown-ID Dragon Fest features a line-up of over 30 cultural performances. There will be a 100-foot-long dragon, dancing lions and even an anime costume contest. That is all exciting BUT the biggest draw, in my opinion, is the food walk! This is like eating dinner at 16 restaurants in one night! Local food lovers can treat themselves to an afternoon of international cuisine designed to accommodate all budgets. In addition to an international selection of food trucks, sixteen of Chinatown-ID's premier restaurants invite you to celebrate Dragon Fest with your taste-buds, and will be featuring an incredible $2 tasting menu. The Urban Craft Uprising is my favorite shopping weekend! Totally unique gifts, fun items for your home and so many cool things to look at! This isn't your grandma's craft show. This is Seattle's largest Indie craft show. There is a wide variety of hand-crafted goods, including clothing of all types, jewelry, gifts, bags, wallets, buttons, accessories, aprons, children's goods, toys, housewares, paper goods, candles, kits, art, food, and much, much more. This is South King County's largest family festival and we will be there to party! It's Kent Cornucopia Days! Lydia will be hanging at the Movin booth from 11am – 3pm and I (that's me! Brooke) will be Kenting it up from 3pm – 7pm on Saturday so make sure you come say hi! We may even have some prizes for you to win! There will be 600 vendors and 2 huge food courts! A carnival and amusement rides, a 10-5K Fun Run/Walk, the largest dragon boat races in Washington and fine arts displays!
