1.Go America! Nothing says HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA like the Tacoma Freedom Fair! There will be 2 miles and 12 hours of fun activities on the waterfront, a thrilling air show and a LOT of fireworks! It features eight areas with live entertainment, Camp Patriot and Remote Control Car Race Track for kids, a car show, the world's longest running beach pole vault competition, and much more. Plus the Movin Party Patrol will be there so make sure to stop by! We'll have basketball and soccer games provided by Clowns Unlimited. Come dance and party with us. Go Zombie! It's time to return from the dead! Thousands of Zombies will come together for the 3rd annual Red, White and Dead Zombie block party! It's a music fest & zombie walk! "Rock the Block" will be rocking live music from 2pm til 2am! Bust our your best Michael Jackson moves because there will be a Massive Thriller Dance and then get ready to set a new world record. The Zombie walk are calling all those hungry for brains to participate! If you are in need of a sandy island, travel no further than Everett! Jetty Island opens for the season this weekend! With the weather looking great, there is no better time to wiggle your toes in the sand and go for a dip if you dare! Jetty Island is a 2 mile long scenic gem and it's beaches are among the Puget Sound's sandiest. Pack sunscreen, some layers and a delish picnic and make a day out of it!
